Parenthetical citation method:

Parenthetical citation method in student essays usually consists of two parts:

 

•  parenthetical references
• References list or bibliography

End notes, foot notes or parenthetical references:
The easiest form of citing sources in students essay is the parenthetical references, this type of references is quoted close to the material you have taken or paraphrased. The author’s last name and page number is placed in parenthesis to give credit to the sources in your students essays.

For example:
The author is pointing out here that studying
“Hypertext Markup Language” and
“Extensible Hypertext Markup Language” is j
just learning a new language (Smith John, 10)

 

Bibliography or reference list:
Bibliography or reference in the essays for students list is placed at the end of your essay in concurrence with your parenthetical references. Following are the examples of free student essays bibliography.

If you are citing from a book:
Author’s last name, First name. Title of the book. Place of publication: Publisher, Date of Publication.

Chapter of the book:
Author’s last name, First name.” Title of book chapter”. Title of the book. Place of publication: Publisher, Date of publication. Page numbers.

Journal Articles:
Author’s last name, First name.” Title of article”. Title of the journal Volume. Year and date of publication: Page numbers.

Magazine Articles:

Newspaper Articles:

Interviews:
