What is a division classification essay?

As the name indicates, the classification and division essay breaks down the complex essay into segments that makes the topic easy to digest. But the division part of the essay is very different from the classification part, though both are important.

In division portion a writer divides a big subject into smaller segments while in the classification part, those smaller segments are then classified into various categories and this classification is done on the basis of the importance of the segments, in what way they are associated with each other and what will be the impact on the main subject.
