In the task 2 of IELTS Academic Writing test, students are being asked to write an essay of at least 250 words. Usually, students have to discuss about the subject of their general interest in IELTS essay. • First of all, you should keep in mind that you have only 40 minutes for writing your essay; therefore, you have to manage the time properly. You should divide your time in the beginning. For e.g. you should not take more than 5 minutes for thinking, 5 minutes for creating an outline, 5 minutes for introduction, 20 minutes for body paragraphs and 5 minutes for conclusion.
• Arguments in your IELTS essay should be well in accordance with your essay question. Ideas that you are going to utilize should also reflect your argument. Providing evidences in support of your viewpoint will enhance the credibility of your essay; therefore, you should utilize arguments, ideas and evidences efficiently in your essay.
• Proper paragraphing is also one of the key attributes for getting high score in IELTS essay test. A paragraph of your should not exceed more than 5 lines since you have to write an essay around 250 words. You have to utilize different ideas with supporting evidences in different paragraphs; however, there should be a link between the paragraphs.
• Sentence structure, spelling mistakes and grammatical errors count in IELTS; therefore, you should avoid committing these mistakes.
• You should utilize the language in your essay in such a manner that you successively communicate the readers what you want to convey them. In other ways, persuasive approach is an ideal approach for writing IELTS essays.
